The Cincinnati, Ohio-based Ficks Reed Company was founded in 1885 by Louis Ficks.  Initially established as the National Carriage and Reed Company, the company produced woven reed and wicker baby carriages before expanding their product line.

For over 125 years, Ficks Reed has built its reputation manufacturing high quality furniture using wicker, rattan, woven peel, bamboo, and selected hardwoods.  Ficks Reed has collaborated with world renowned designers including, Dorothy Draper, Paul László, John B. Wisner, and Paul T. Frankl, among many others.  Ficks Reed furniture designs reflect the dedicated collaboration between designer and skilled artisans ensuring attention to details and outstanding craftsmanship.
